"What choice did we have?"

"I can't go home like this."

"Like what?"

"Knowing that every damned one of us is evil."

Critical Acclaim

"LOOTED is epic!

Riveting—truly on-the-edge-of-my-seat-what-the-hell-is-going-to-happen-next kind of way!

The sheer ambition of this novel astounds me.

The Book

Looted

Peter Stravlo transforms a family legend into a searing meditation on art, inheritance, and the cost of silence. When a successful American businessman's past begins to unravel, the truth behind his wartime fortune reveals a legacy as fragile—and as stolen—as the masterpieces he once possessed.

Set against the smoldering aftermath of World War II, and the optimism that followed it, Looted unearths the moral wreckage left behind when art, ambition, and guilt collide. Inspired by family secrets and whispered rumors, Stravlo's debut follows a man haunted by the priceless treasures—and terrible choices—buried in Europe's ashes.
